Machu Picchu is the site of an ancient Inca city, high in the Andes of Peru. Located at 2,430 meters (about 8,000 ft), this UNESCO World Heritage site is often referred to as ‘The Lost City of the Incas’. It's an incredible feeling to stand on the upper terraces looking down on the precariously perched city as the clouds roll by and imagine what it must have been like to live here during its glory days.
