Staggering mountain views and purple, yellow, and indigo wildflowers lined our high alpine hike from First to Bachalpse last summer. The rate of glacial melt has accelerated in recent years due to climate change, resulting in the best flower season in decades. It's also the reason that the region - renowned for its winter sports - is investing more in it's summer tourism industry.
