In July, Magnum's #JeromeSessini was covering the conflict between the Ukrainian Government and pro-Russian separatist rebels near the boarder. Suddenly, his driver got a call -- a passenger plane had been shot down near Torez. Sessini rushed to the crash site and was one of the first to arrive at a scene that he described as "horrific, almost unreal." He made this photograph, and sent it to Magnum's offices just moments after news of the tragedy had begun to spread around the world. Sessini's image is certainly a difficult one, but also an important picture from the past year, honored by @TIME Magazine as one of the Top 10 Photos of 2014. #MAGNUMyearbook #MH17
