Photo by @jonathankingston | Molokai’s red clay dirt roads cut through tall grasses - setting a scene reminiscent of east Africa. In the late 1960’s, the Molokai Ranch had the same thought and brought a menagerie of animals from Africa and India to open a game park for tourists on the island. The giraffes, ostriches and ibex are now a distant memory and some of the ranches lands have been put in conservation and are now managed by the Molokai Land Trust.
