Another beautiful sunrise in the Chilean Lakes District. I found this lookout by pure accident and it ended up being the iconic Lakes District view for me, complete with a massive volcano, a beautiful lake, and a jagged coastline. I was driving from the Villarica Volcano area down to the Osorno Volcano area and got lost on a dirt backroad. I was pretty frustrated with myself, as I had a schedule to keep for the photo assignment for Nat Geo Traveler magazine. Pretty frustrated, that is, until I came upon this view, and my jaw nearly dropped. I ended up driving back here three more times, for a sunrise (pictured here), a sunset, and to shoot some startrails at night. Photo by @magnumji
