Day 3 of the #blackandwhitechallenge takes us back to the earlier days of #MyanmarClimb, where we stumbled upon the Thadingyut (Lighting) Festival at the Mahamuni Buddha Temple in Mandalay. Thousands of candles were lit to pay homage to the descent of the Buddha to earth. We had no idea this was happening when we visited the temple, but when we saw hundreds of people rallying to fill the tiny candles with oil to light once night fell, we waited around to watch. It was a stunningly gorgeous display, something we felt lucky to witness firsthand. @ナショナルジオグラフィック @ザ・ノースフェイス
