The #Frillback #Pigeon pictured is an example of selective breeding. The are a breed of #fancypigeon developed over many years. Frillbacks along with other varieties of #domesticated pigeons are all #descendants of the #Rockpigeon (Columbia Livia). The breed is known for the frill curls on the wing shield feathers, as wells the the curls on the foot feathers or #muffs.
#Darwin raised fancy pigeons and reenforced ideas that he had about selective breeding.
