Lately I've been reading some negative posts about competing and competition prep. People are saying how unhappy and miserable they were during their prep. While achieving the best physique they ever had, they were very unhappy inside, starving themselves, limiting their social life to zero, avoiding friends and family and such. I had been competing for almost 3 years now, I have done almost 20 shows over this period of time, and I've experienced everything: misery, exhaustion, frustration, hunger during my preps. But with every year, I was getting more experience and knowledge about competing and I was learning my body as well. Know I have come to the point, that competition prep can be pretty enjoyable, it's never easy, it's a lot of dedication, hard work, sacrifices, but you CAN have normal life while getting ready for the show. You CAN see your friends, you CAN go out, you CAN be positive and happy! Currently I'm getting ready for Russian Pro, that is taking place next week in Moscow. During this prep I went to California to visit my best friend and have a little vacation with my man after the Olympia, I went to Florida for few days for modeling job, we went to upstate NY for Halloween with our friends for few days and had a great time, I train 4-5 people each day at least 5 days a week and I manage to train myself 6 days a week ( sometimes twice a day)Just yesterday I had 2 hour workout session in the morning, trained 4 clients of mine later on and after that my man took me out for little date to see this amazing show #NutcrackerRouge in Manhattan, which was absolutely amazing, and I'm one week out of the show! Of course I have to schedule all my training sessions around all these events, I am constantly training even when I travel, I have my food with me all the time. It is still not easy and challenging, I am extremely tired sometimes and have no energy by the end of my day, I am very strict with my diet and can't afford to have some delicious treats, but it's ok, it's not the food that makes me happy, it's people in my life, it's all this amazing things that I am capable of doing. Remember, Balance is the most important thing in life! ?
