Photo: @Robert Clark | What some have called “a shot heard around tyne world” political activist, Cody Wilson got the attention of law enforcement authorities when he 3D printed a gun, in 2013, and then successfully test fired his pistol, the ‘Liberator’. When photographed the 3D printed guns failed 3 out of four times, with two of the guns exploding.

Trying to capture a bullet is a tricky photographic challenge. We were able to get the bullet in the same frame as the muzzle flash because the broken barrel slowed the bullet down to the 1/21930 of a second flash duration of the #Nikon strobe that we were using. @Robert Clark @thephotosociety @instituteArtist
