When i did CrossFit last year i used to take creatine, beta alanine, and use protein powder...however...as part of my New Year's Resolution I decided to cut out any unnecessary chemicals from entering my body and I certainly feel better. I eat real food and get protein from lean meat...i eat clean but I eat whatever I feel like...i don't really need a scale, i know when i am too heavy and/or too light for the stage of my training cycle by looking in the mirror. I don't need caffeine (period...) before training and do not par-take in the c4 pre-workout or energy drink madness. I had a cardiac ablation to repair/burn a loop in my AV Node (Tachycardia) and do not mess with stimulants in fear of ever having to experience a 400bpm heart rate in an ambulance (yes, recorded...yes, insane) although i have never had an issue again since the procedure. I am 100% natural and feel my absolute best this way. This isn't something I tell a lot of people about but decided that me sharing my story about this condition i suffered through... to where I am at now athletically could help someone else through something similar.
