Iconic Half Dome rises some 5,000 feet above the #Yosemite Valley floor. Despite an 1865 report stating it was "..perfectly inaccessible, being probably the only one of the prominent points about the Yosemite which never has been, and never will be, trodden by human foot", thousands reach the summit each year via a system of cables that are not for the faint of heart.
