Hello, Monday. I have to say, that was the first Mother's Day that affected me in a way beyond the usual gratitude I feel for my own mother and for my grandmothers lost. It can be very hard to live childless in a world that keeps saying, "You won't know love until you've had a baby." Or, "There is nothing better you will be in your life than a mother." These things may very well be the truth, and perhaps that's what makes these messages so hard to stomach. But more than anything right now, I see the growing disparity between my life's experience and that of my friends. And in a way I've not felt since I was a bumbling adolescent, I wonder: Where do I fit in?
