Thank you @artifactuprising for gifting me with the opportunity to create the perfect "paper anniversary" gift for @matthewjay--a book documenting the year we dated long-distance and all the photos we took together on our adventures, and another book for our first magical year of marriage. Going back through two years of Instagrams was a sweet treat, albeit a rather soggy one. I cried when I read about our first meeting at the airport. I cried when we said goodbye for the first time (and then the second, and then the third). I cried when we got married after the shortest, most exciting engagement, and I cried again when we visited Morro Bay and decided, "Sure! Why not? Let's make it home for a while." This digital diary of captions and photos is precious to me, but there's something extra special about a book. I think maybe we've started a new tradition of reflection and preservation. xx.
