#wwbsiwishlist4thround finalist @nick_rose123 about his ballet journey : Here we go! I began violin when I was 5. Shortly after I started playing cello! This is my now 11th year as a cellist. But I knew there had to be another side to classical music... classical ballet! So I began when I was 12. I saw my first ballet when I was 13! I saw New York City Ballets Coppelia. From there on I knew this is what I needed to do. The feeling just looked so rewarding and so warm. I think something that sets me apart from most dancers is the fact that I have a very strong sense of musicality. As well as a very strong love for classical music. We live in a big world but a small ballet world. Things are constantly changing. I think that one day classical ballet will be in the hands of my generation in the near future. This is terrifying. People only care about your physical abilities. NOT your artistic abilities. This summer my goal is grow in the Balanchine aesthetic. My dancing is very Russian based and I do believe that if you can do Vaganova you can truly do anything. But I need to become more open minded about different techniques because in this world of ballet you need to become more versatile than ever before. I have such a high respect and incredible passion for classical ballet. Hopefully after the summer I will achieve a higher level of artistic excellence. Because next year I have to find a contract! For me classical ballet isn't a task, or something to keep me busy. It's literally my own personal lifestyle. Thanks for reading guys :) Remember ! 1 like = 1 vote! ??? #nicholasrose
