90 years ago on the 8th of June George Mallory and Sandy Irvine disappeared on the north face of Everest. Could they have made it to the summit?
15 years ago today I discovered the body of this fine man. It seemed improbable at the time and still to this day is a reminder of how precious life is. We will never know if George and Sandy ever made it to the summit. That they tried and added to the collective experience that eventually allowed Tenzing and Ed to pull it off is plenty for me. With respect.
