My name is Ethan Spencer and I am a 16 year old preprofessional student at Boston Ballet School. I started ballet at the ripe old age of 15. I was, however, able to catch up with my peers through hard work. I wear So Danca SD11 canvas ballet shoes. I like them because they make your feet look really good. I chose this picture because it shows my love of Balanchine because this pose is from his ballet Agon. I love Balanchine's choreography and aesthetic. Right now I am working on my men's technique, which includes a la secondes and tours, among other things. I am work everyday on these aspects of technique everyday and hope to master them before SAB this summer. I am honored to be in this contest among many other dancers as talented and more talented than I am.
