My Hometown Osaka: An old woman kills her time at a shoe store in a shopping area in Tsuruhasi where many Korean immigrants, or nearly forcefully transferred Koreans and their descendants, live. Due to the reason, the area has been often discriminated. Also quasi-Yakuzas or wanabe-gangsters used to hang out, maybe somehow still. I grew up nearby Tsuruhashi, and had to avoid eye-contact to those people. Otherwise it happened to fight with them. Yet, in recent years, it becomes cool to come here and eat Korean food or Okonomiyaki (Japanese savoury pancake).
