Today is World Aids Day.
Benard Msandu's ministry is called My Brother's Keeper and started after Ben's own sister died from AIDS. He lives out his belief that God will provide, doesn't receive a salary of any kind, supports his family (wife, two biological daughters and two girls they now call their own but are unrelated) off what others give. Most of the financial gifts go directly to those who are suffering from AIDS/HIV, living in absolute poverty and in dire need. My Brother's Keeper holds support groups for those who have HIV/AIDS, offers love and compassion where being with someone with the virus carries a heavy, negative stigma (other ministers do not do this kind of work). The ministry now has a chicken project aimed at keeping each person as self-sufficient as possible.

CNN's Marcy Heinz (@marcytvproducer) put together a series of stories after a visit with Msandu last December.
This photo shows Naomi whose mother died from AIDS. She was ten months old when Marcy took this photo in December 2012. She is currently in her third home and will never remember her mom. Head over to @marcytvproducer to see the full stories. #WorldAIDSDay
