Tokuyama view from a window of my bullet train trip to Southern Japan, then Korea. In the history Tokuyama was a militarily important port, due to the oil refinery, for then Japanese Empire's Army before and during World War II. In 1945, it was extremely strike by B29 of US military forces, and 90 percent of the city was destroyed and a large number of people, including so many civilians, were killed.
