She was known to cross difficult terrain to deliver babies and provide care to the wounded. Among her many achievements, she helped establish the first hospital for her tribe. ➡️ William F. Tyndall of the Cherokee Indian Reservation in North Carolina served the Red Cross as a First Aid Instructor. Back in 1942, he taught young people lifesaving skills so that they could act with confidence if a member of their tribe experienced an emergency.
