ネーブ・キャンベルさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ネーブ・キャンベルInstagram)「35+ deployments! ⛑️ That’s how many disasters across the country Roxanne has responded to since becoming a @RedCrossNorCalCoastal volunteer in 2010. “You just tell me what to do and I’m going to get it done,” she said. “And I’m not afraid to ask for help.” Between supporting her local region and responding to disasters in more than 13 states, Roxanne has done it all — driving emergency response vehicles, managing logistics, supporting shelters and distributing meals. “Feeding is my forte. That’s what I love to do,” Roxanne said. “Being on an ERV is the hardest but most rewarding job. The people on those routes just pull at your heartstrings.” Although she has vast experience helping people affected by floods, hurricanes, wildfires and more, she still gets nervous about deploying to a new area for an assignment. “Every location is different in how they do things.” Recently, she spent three weeks on Guam, helping acquire resources and manage the logistics of the supply coming onto the island. Although the isolated location of Guam had its challenges, it’s a part of volunteering that Roxanne enjoys the most. “I am able to ensure people get what they need in a timely manner,” she said.
