If turtles carry their homes on their backs, this razor-back musk turtle opts for a tent - or perhaps an overturned boat. The shell’s high ridge and pitched sides give the turtle a domed, triangular appearance. When threatened, if retreating into its shell does not provide enough protection, this species will release a foul-smelling secretion to further deter predators. Photo taken @tennesseeaquarium.
