The Mystery Clock 🕰

It was in 1912, that the first ‘Model A’ appeared at Cartier. Created by a young clockmaker named Maurice Couët (1885-1963), the ‘Model A’s mysterious floating arms mesmerized the industry by their touch of magic.

Inspired by popular 19th century French magician Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin, Couët blended exquisite craftsmanship, elegant design and the most technologically advanced mechanisms.

These elegant clocks are considered to be one of the House of Cartier's greatest achievements and continue to entertain the observer with their illusion and beauty.
