I have never faced an injury of this magnitude which forced me to stop climbing for well over half a year. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The road back to the World Cup was arduous and there were many hurdles along the way. I'm happy with how I've recovered and how I managed to qualify for PanAmericans and the Olympic Qualifying Series next season. If in the end I don't become a 2x Olympian, I'll be very happy with how I came back to compete against the level which is now present on the World Cup circuit. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There were many who questioned whether I'd make it back, there were some that gave up completely so early on. Most just happily smiled and said "it's good to see you back". Those were my favourite because it's still my love of competing that trumps all. Throughout this season I managed to notch up to 200 World Cup / World Championship events and as I said before; qualify for the next pathways for The Olympic Games Paris 2024. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As so many people preach, the journey is the lesson and not the destination.
