What do you think the world looks like through the eyes of this Fiji Island crested iguana? A critically endangered species, life isn’t always easy for this reptile - habitat loss is a constant concern, while domestic cats, mongoose, and rats are all a serious predation threat. However, even in the face of constant uncertainty, recovery efforts on the island of Yadua Taba have proven successful, and the crested iguana has become a local celebrity, being used as a symbol for Fiji biodiversity conservation.
