Hands have long stood as the most symbolized part of the human body, representing a plethora of cultural behaviors, values and beliefs. ⁠

In the portrait of a Shaman by @nannaheitmann, the hands bridge mind and nature, shielding precious dreams from the rugged surface of the earth. In Sabiha Çimen’s (@sabakhayr) image, the three women’s hands joined in protest convey a sense of collective resistance and togetherness. An image from @josef_koudelka shows a hand interacting with a stream of water, as if capable of bending matter itself. ⁠
