"A recent trip to the Fleurieu Peninsula had @ads.pixels and I waking up at 4:30am and driving 40 minutes from our accommodation to Petrel Cove for sunrise. Setting up compositions can get tricky in the dark and you need an element of awareness and safety when shooting these types of scenes. One of the main things was checking to see what the tide was doing. Low tide was happening at 7am so we were confident setting up in this area. The low clouds were moving fast so I wanted to get a nice long exposure to get a smooth sky but was also thinking about the flow of the water coming in. I was taking this shot and @ads.pixels accidentally flicked his torch on, illuminating some of the water adding some really nice ambience to a moody scene."
