Embracing the harsh conditions of rain and fog can produce ethereal results and this was certainly the case for @ivanzafiris_ in his trip to the Blue Mountains with the Z 7II.
"On a recent trip to the beautiful Blue Mountains in Katoomba, the opportunity presented itself with all the recent rain to get out and shoot some waterfalls.
Most of the tracks were closed due to quite significant landslides that had occurred with a lot of trees and logs making their way down the waterfalls, and as such some of the popular waterfall's tracks were closed. For this shot even though there had been enough rain, there wasn't much water flowing down Bridal Veil Falls but luckily, we had significant fog that hovered around and on top of the waterfall.
This took me a while to shoot as I couldn't quite get the right composition I was looking for, as I wanted to include some of the water flowing towards the left of the waterfall down the rock and also include that huge rock structure and fog, that was sitting on top of the waterfall. After a good 30 minutes, I managed to walk away with a final shot that I was happy with, and for this shot I wanted it to be black and white to bring out the drama with the fog, the black rocks, and the water trickling down the side of the waterfall."
