Kabukiza Theater, Tokyo: The biggest star of the traditional Japanese theatrical art of Kabuki, Ebizo Ichikawa, descends from the famed Ichikawa Kabuki acting dynasty that traces their roots back to the 1600. Here he performs the leading role in Shibaraku, a short 11th century drama in which an evil tyrant is poised to kill innocent people, but is stopped by a samurai superhero who saves the day.
