Joseph Beuys walks down an alley of poplar trees.

In January 1978 I went on a journey to the Lower Rhine with Joseph Beuys, one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. It led us back to Beuys’ origins, his roots near the city of Kleve and its surroundings, and many places of his childhood and youth.

I am now on my way to Austria to start layout for a bilingual book about my travels with Joseph Beuys, to be published by Edition Lammerhuber in the fall of this year.
