🌙 Today, I painted a moonrise using Sakura Koi Watercolor tubes. I loved the #sakurakoi tubes for this scene because of their rich pigmentation. Summer is a perfect time to take a twilight walk and watch the stars come out.

🌲 After beginning with a 0.5 Sakura mechanical pencil, I painted the light coming from around the moon using Pale Orange with Deep Yellow. The sky fades from Cerulean Blue to Ultramarine.

✨I then added in the glow around the clouds, followed by the darker cloud shadows once that glow had dried. I then mixed Ultramarine, Purple and Ivory Black to create the treetop silhouettes.
