Take this punch:
The ability to quit can get you further in life than the ability to persevere.

Read that again.

Culture currently hammers the idea that quitting is the equivalent of failing into our heads. And that couldn’t be any more mentally unhealthy or downright false.

Quitting means putting your foot down and saying “no”. This is not right for me. I don’t belong here. I must go. Pivot. And move. When done for the right reasons, it’s one of the most emotionally mature & intelligent things you can do. So many people choose to settle and put up with bullsh*t for the rest of their lives, because they are scared of the notion of “quitting” and what others may think of them. Perseverance under these parameters is cowardly.

Learning to set boundaries with the people in your life is becoming the norm, but how about setting boundaries with yourself?

Every time I’ve “quit” something it came down to a simple revelation: choosing to love & honor myself over everything else. Was it terrifying? Absolutely. It takes knowing who you are and having the courage to stand up for yourself fearlessly & relentlessly. Even if it means letting go of everything you have worked for and starting over from scratch.

The more ground you cover each day, the more information you gather for evolution. If you stop and think about it too much, try to make perfect decisions, analyze trajectories, and avoid mistakes… you are just wasting time. Move. Then, quit all the paths not meant for you. Over and over again. Until you find the right one.
