Back in Japan and heading for Mt. Fuji. Fujisan as it’s known to the Japanese, is the most iconic symbol of Japan, as well as an active volcano and its tallest mountain (3776 m or 12,388 ft). Climbing Mt. Fuji and experiencing the sunrise is regarded as an important pilgrimage and has inspired painters, poets and photographers for centuries.
