Leek Top Tip 💚
Leeks are such an underrated vegetable and I absolutely love roasting them before adding them to a recipe.
By charring the whole leek, either in the oven or on a BBQ, the inside becomes rich and jammy, adding a lovely caramelised sweetness to your dishes.
Roasted leeks’ creamy texture also helps to create thicker sauces in your stews, pies, and stroganoffs - whatever you want to throw them in.
I’d be interested to hear which recipes you have added leeks, roasted or otherwise, to? Any love for this veg is welcome here.
I used these roasted leeks in my salmon and butter bean stroganoff (have a look at one of my latest reel for the recipe 🐟) and they added a really wonderful creamy sweetness - highly recommend!
P.S. Try not to burn your fingers when you peel off the outside 🥵
