豊田章男さんのインスタグラム写真 - (豊田章男Instagram)「. 2021年秋以来となる販売店代表者会議を行いました。お客様へ思うようにクルマをお届けできない環境の中、目の前のおひとりおひとりに真摯に向き合ってくださる販売店の皆さまに感謝をお伝えしました。 13年前、私たちは「大規模リコール問題」という会社存亡の危機に直面しました。私が米国公聴会に向かう際、トヨタ自動車販売店協会の理事長だった守川正博さん（現ネッツトヨタ栃木相談役）は「日本のことは任せてください」と言って送り出してくださいました。そんな守川さんは、こうおっしゃいます。「販売店とメーカーの間には忖度もタブーもない」「あるのは、お客様のため、社員のため、自分以外の誰かのために立つ信念」トヨタの最大の強みは「メーカーと販売店の強い絆」だと思います。こうした固い結びつきを、これからも変わらず、大切にしていきたいと思っております。佐藤次期社長をキャプテンとする新しい経営チームは「もっといいクルマは、乗る人、お客様を知る販売店の皆様なくしてつくれない」ことを知っています。販売店の皆様とどんなクルマをつくり、どんなモビリティ社会を提案するのか。その挑戦をどうか長い目で見ていただき、変わらぬご支援を賜りますよう、よろしくお願いいたします。 We held the first Toyota National Dealer Meeting since the fall of 2021, where I was able to express my gratitude to all our dealers who continued to handle every partner with sincerity, even as we struggled with providing cars the way customers wanted. Thirteen years ago, we faced a time of life-or-death crisis with a major recall issue. When I headed off to testify at an official hearing in the U.S., then-president of Toyota National Dealers’ Advisory Council Masahiro Morikawa—currently senior advisor to the board of Netz Tochigi—said, "Leave Japan to me." Morikawa also has this to say: "Between car dealers and carmakers, there is no deference or taboo. All there is, is the belief that we stand for our customers; for our employees; for someone other than ourselves." I believe that Toyota's greatest strength is the powerful bond between the manufacturer and the dealers. We will continue to value that bond the same as we always have. The new team captained by President Koji Sato knows that making ever-better cars cannot be done without all the drivers and the dealerships who know their customers. What kind of cars can we create and what kind of mobility society can we offer with the help of our dealers?
