4年ぶりのリアル開催となったグローバル仕入先総会。
世界中から700人の一緒にクルマをつくる仲間をお迎えしました。

自動車産業を支えていただいている日ごろの感謝をお伝えするとともに、佐藤恒治次期社長をキャプテンとする新しい経営チームを紹介しました。

「やっぱりトヨタと付き合いたい。量がまとまるからではなく、未来をつくるチャレンジができるから」
そう言っていただける関係になりたいという一心で、13年間やってきました。
その結果、「商品」が変わり、トヨタはグローバル・フルラインナップになりました。
これは、トヨタの仲間と仕入先の皆様と一緒につくりあげてきたものです。

私と一緒に、現場で「もっといいクルマ」に挑み、失敗を重ねてきた新チームは「クルマはみんなでつくるもの」であることを知っています。
モビリティ・カンパニーを目指し、たくさん挑戦し、たくさん失敗すると思います。
どうか長い目で見ていただき、私以上のご支援をよろしくお願いします。

I had the honor of welcoming 700 carmaking colleagues from all over the world to our first in-person Global Annual Supplier Meeting in four years.

We were able to express our gratitude for their constant support of the automotive industry, as well as introduce the new management team led by incoming President Koji Sato.

For the past 13 years, I have worked with the sole desire of making this a company that would allow our colleagues to say, “I do want to work with Toyota. Not just because of how many cars they sell, but because we can help build a new future.” The result has been a change in product so that Toyota now offers a global full lineup. That is something that we have built with the help of our Toyota colleagues and suppliers.

The new team has stood with me on the front lines striving to make ever-better cars, and the members have learned by making mistakes that cars are made by everyone together. As they guide the transformation to a mobility company, they will try many new things, and I think they will also make many mistakes as they do so.

I hope that you keep a long-term view and give them even more support than you did to me.
