💘 Here’s an idea for a wonderful homemade gift to make over the weekend for your loved ones: toffee and amaretto truffles.
I’m using medjool dates here because they have all the richness and texture of toffee without any of the hazards (I’ve got enough caramel burns!) Filling them with amaretto spiked almond butter and encasing them in dark chocolate creates an incredibly moreish truffle.
Use a plant-based dark chocolate (good quality higher percentage bars tend to not include any milk powder) to make this recipe completely vegan. The Amaretto can be replaced with a few drops of almond essence.
If you’ve got any odd boxes and ribbon lying around, then make this into a thoughtful gift for your Valentine (or for yourself - everyone deserves truffles 😋)
