What #JohnGalliano did late last night in Paris was pure poetry of fashion. For @Maison Margiela’s artisanal collection, he presented theatrical play, fashion film, performance art and fashion show all at the same time. It was meta approach and feast for our eyes representing Galliano at his best. He had directed and written a Souther Gothic play with an intense storyline and magical acting coming from some of the most legendary models in the industry. For 35 minutes, he kept the audience breathless with the script, set, music, movement and the clothes! He celebrated the 1920’s era with whimsical volumes that only his brilliant mind could dream of. This was a haute couture show at its best. A fantasy wrapped in a dream inside of poetry.
