Is perfectionism getting in the way of your success? If you're a woman, there's a pretty good chance it is — and here’s why. From a young age, most girls are taught to avoid risk and strive for perfection, while boys tend to be rewarded for being brave and taking chances, according to @ReshmaSaujani, founder of Girls Who Code. And these early teachings end up having a significant impact on us after we grow up. In fact, evidence shows that perfectionism can prevent women from acting boldly in their personal and professional lives which limits their possibilities and their chances for success. Well, it's time for this to change. "When we teach girls to be imperfect and we help them leverage it, we will build a movement of young women who are brave and who will build a better world for themselves and for each and every one of us," says Saujani.
