The end, but also the beginning. You can literally see the moment I realize I’m done. How free I felt, how exhausted I was. But the weight was gone, even if it was just for a moment. For the athletes wrapping up their careers, you will feel the gravity of what you have been through pulling you in every direction. That’s okay. You’ll feel excited about new possibilities, but also fear of the unknown. You’ll feel guilt from years of choosing “you” over everything else, and you won’t know how to change your ways immediately.
