The first rule in photography is to be there. Obviously, if you aren't there, you won’t be able to get the picture. Over the years I've learned that no matter what the weather forecast is, you have to be on location and ready to shoot. Quite often it's in bad weather that you get the nicest images. You never know when the light might peek through the clouds. And when it does, it might be really spectacular and much more dramatic than during clear skies. I find images of blue skies boring compared to images of dramatic dark skies.
