I’ll never forget when I first met her and how she explained to me the years of hospital stays and endless medical procedures she had endured in her young life. Through it all she always kept returning to see our shows with members of her family. Sometimes great distances if the show wasn’t close by. Not air tanks, colostomy bags, extreme pain, swelling, nausea - nothing could keep her from rocking out and having a great time hanging out backstage until the last guest left. My life is better having known her and all the love she showed everyone in this Soulrocker fam. She’d often send me emails in the middle of the night sharing with me how challenging her days were or what operation she’d just had...there were more than she could count. Through it all she always showed her resilience and shared her insight and was never shy about calling out the bullshit she saw in the world and always spoke up for those who were marginalized.
