U.S. Army veteran and three-time Paralympic medalist @kari8774 lost both of her legs when she was hit by a drunk driver in 1999. Determined to keep moving forward, she began trying out adaptive sports and discovered sitting volleyball, earning a spot on the U.S. Women's Sitting National Team. Throughout her career, she has worked to create adaptive programs including the U.S. Air Force wounded, ill and injured program. #BlackHistoryMonth
