Artur and Jerzy Kukuczka, were the first to reach the summit of Annapurna during the winter season, on February 3rd 1987. Twenty years later, Artur was still among the strongest Himalayan climbers, a legendary “Ice Warrior”, determined and committed, always climbing gracefully. We started as the sun was rising that winter morning, relieved as the sub-zero temperatures slightly increased. On Assignment @ナショナルジオグラフィック
