Jess from @canela_sin_cera here to fill you in on my next steps! Yesterday, I showed you all how I love using my MICRON pens 005 and 01 to lay down the foundation of my illustrations. Now, let’s move on!⁠⁠ .⁠⁠ .⁠⁠ My next step is to study my reference photos to understand the directions of lines within the petals. I’ll give myself some guidelines in pencil before laying down ink with my MICRON pens. .⁠⁠ Now, for my favorite… the MICRON 003! This pen is a treasure! With the tiny nib, I can get into the tightest places and create precise details! I use this pen to begin laying down those fine lines and fill in the petals. I can begin bringing my drawing to life without it becoming too dark or heavy.⁠⁠ .⁠⁠ I also use my MICRON 003 to lightly layer in areas of shadow. This helps me achieve a more realistic feel to my drawings, even though they’re done in ink.⁠⁠ .⁠⁠ Once I’ve filled in the petals, I’ll go back to my MICRON 005 to add more defined lines within the petals.⁠⁠ .⁠⁠ .⁠⁠ That’s all for now!
