When working on his modern Miami Beach home, @bsternlicht1 started with the exterior. He replaced window mullions and reworked the hardscape. The eaves under the roof line were covered in a pekoe-wood veneer, which helps to soften the angular facade of the home. He totally transformed this spec house and turned it into his own, inspired by his love of hospitality. “I bought the shell and then I said, ‘OK, I’m taking over,’” he tells ELLE Decor.
