I saw a quote that said "Don't be afraid to look clearly at the parts of yourself that you don't like." I took it as a sign to confront one of my biggest insecurities, body image. It's something that I have struggled with for a long time. And although it has gotten a lot better, it's still a demon that I have to face quite often. One of my goals for this year is to get more physically fit (which I really need to start working on🙄😂). But regardless of how I look, I know I must love my body more. Practicing self love is one of the most difficult things for me. Accepting my imperfections, and trying to embrace those things that I view as flaws has been a challenge. But it's also been extremely important for my growth. I've learned that we must be kind to one another, lift each other up, for we all have our own personal struggles. Life is imperfect and we are imperfect. However, there is still so much beauty to be found within. I always have to remind myself to be grateful for those "imperfections". For that is what makes all of us unique and special. Be your own best friend.
