But for me, it's been a year of growth. I feel like my mental health is the best it's ever been. For someone who's struggled with anxiety/depression, I'm truly thankful to just be here at this place in my life. I've never thought I'd get here and I'm so grateful for the opportunities I've had along the way. Although this year hasn't been all that bad for me, I know there are so many people struggling. In these dark times, I hope to encourage you to not give up. Don't be afraid or ashamed to reach out for help (for whatever that may be). You matter. You are worthy. You are loved. With this new year, we may not be able to impact others in a huge way, but just remember that it doesn't cost you anything to be kind, compassionate, and considerate of others.
