I’m settling into my life of forward thinking because there’s no longer such a thing as forward planning. Nothing including this virus and the stock market, is predictable anymore. After being euphoric about getting my first dose of the vaccine, I’m now contending with mutating strands and am reminded once again of the unpredictability of this “thing” . The only way to live right now is to just let go and ride it like a wave. While some of my younger contemporaries are learning to surf in LA, I’m learning to take a surfing approach to life. Each day when I wake I write down something to look forward to before the sun goes down. The Miyake I wear today keeps me dreaming and my Birks keep my feet firmly on the ground and in my home.
