I’m proud of @faye_brookes for everything she embodies—grit, dedication, patience, and above all being kind. I’m proud of Faye because the real enjoyment in anything we do in life is in the journey and not the destination. Everyday on the ice with Faye is filled with smiles, laughs, plenty of practice, slips, trips, and falls. Having the awareness to be present and enjoy the small victories everyday. But still managing the inevitable bumps along the way. Any celebrity that has done @dancingonice will know how challenging this show is—the ice is a great leveller. The trust and hard work it takes to do this show should not be underestimated, so hats off to all the celebs this series. I’m incredibly lucky and eternally grateful to have two incredible women in my life right now, one as my skating partner and one as my fiancée ❤️ I know I can be a pain in butt sometimes (well, most of the time) but both @ameliaskating and Faye entertain my crazy ideas and go one better and help guide our path and make my ideas possible. The routine you see tomorrow is a team performance. It’s not just Faye and Hamish. It’s Amelia, @iamjustjoe (Faye’s bf), @princekalvin, the coaches @stephenpickavance @thedanwhiston, @woo2kaz, the incredible wardrobe department lead by @vickygilldesign, the creative team, sound, lighting, props, FX, hair n makeup lead by @marcosgmakeup, medical/physio, and all of production for supporting and keeping us safe. For anyone I’ve missed you know who are you ☺️ Without this incredible team nothing would be possible on the ice tomorrow.
